The government will make sure that 1,200 km of roads in rural areas are to be built and repaired this year within the project “Good roads for each village”. According to the leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc, roads this year will be built in each village, while next year the project will be extended to also cover district and national roads, IPN reports.

“To today’s weekly meeting of the Democratic Party, we invited our colleagues from the Government to see at what stage this project is and to discuss the political support needed for the project. This is the most ambitious and the largest project to improve infrastructure since the declaration of independence,” stated Vlad Plahotniuc.

Details about the project will be provided by the Government during the next few days.
