Democratic lawmaker Vasile Botnari, who was recently named as Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure, vacated his seat on June 14. He will be replaced by the next substitute candidate on the list of the Democratic Party (PDM), IPN reports.
According to the lists submitted by the PDM to the CEC, the next substitute candidate is Anatol Chetraru, who is 64. He is a politologist and teacher, a member of the National Political Council of the PDM. The press reported that he is the father of the director of the National Anticorruption Center Viorel Chetraru.
The PDM has 15 representatives in Moldova’s Parliament.
