Democratic Forum of Romanians in Moldova accuse Communist government of anti-Romania acts

The Communist governors greedily take the humanitarian aid offered by the European Union and Romania and at the same time ignore all that is European and Romanian, the Democratic Forum of Romanians in Moldova says in statement. The statement signed by the Forum’s Board says that the Moldovan authorities accept the humanitarian aid from Romania designed to reduce the effects of the drought. At the same time, it acts as if it forgot about the promises to open two Romanian consulates, one in Balti and one in Cahul, cancels the broadcast license of the Romanian television valid until 2011 and bans the entrance to Moldova of the official Romanian delegations invited to Chisinau’s Day. The antidemocratic and anti-European act of hindering the official Romanian delegations invited to the City Day by Chisinau Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca from entering Moldova proves once again that the Communist governors and their supporters aspire only to their own wealth and to the impoverishing of the people. They escape the European justice and keep the old Romanian territory of Bessarabia only by building walls along the Prut dominated by the Russian geopolitical interest and by the cynics from the Communist internationals, the statement says. The Democratic Forum of Romanians in Moldova says that Bessarabia will have a decent future only if it joins the European Union, only under the military umbrella of NATO, alongside Romania and the entire civilized world.
