Democratic Forum of Moldovan Romanians suggest outlawing Communist Party
The Democratic Forum of Moldovan Romanians suggests that the Communist Party should be outlawed. It's chairman, author Nicolae Dabija, stated in his speech at the unveiling of a memorial stone in Chisinau today that communism was as criminal as the Nazis.
“We are the only nation to erect monuments to criminals and slayers. In just 8 years of Communist government 40 statues of Lenin appeared in our villages. But he ought to be thrown into the dump of history”, said Nicolae Dabija. The author thanked, on behalf of Moldova's intellectuals, acting president Mihai Ghimpu for the decree “which called things by their proper names” and which ordered for a monument to be erected to honor the victims of communism.
