Democratic Action Party creates youth organization
Over 300 young from 20 districts of the country participated on Saturday, December 10, at the foundation of the Youth Organization of the Democratic Action Party (OTPAD). Alina Blajen was elected head of the organization. The deputy leaders were named Mihai Untilov, Radu Botnaru, Oleg Munteanu and Marcela Friptu, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The PAD youth approved the organization regulation and elected the Executive Bureau, consisting of 19 members, and the National Political Council.
Mihai Godea, leader of the Democratic Action Party , declared that OTPAD consists of youth from most of the country's districts. There are young people who believed in the PAD idea. "I'm proud that over half of the Democratic Action Party are young people and the Youth Organization shall have a very important role and a word to say in every party decision.", said the PAD leader.
Mihai Godea spoke to the youth about the political situation and about the political turmoil in Moldova. "You have a background which you must fructify. The way OTPAD will look wholly on your involvement", added Mihai Godea.
OTPAD leader, Alina Blajen, emphasized that being young means being active, strong, and involving yourself in youth's problems and daily life. She said that a leader without a team cannot be a leader and that results can be achieved only together. "We know what we want, we know how our future should be and we shall act upon it.", the OTPAD leader said.
MP Mihai Godea launched the Democratic Alternative Platform in early May 2011. On 21 July, the platform's leaders have announced the formation of the Democratic Action Party, and on November 6, the party elected its leadership at a national inaugurating assembly.
