Delegations from 10 countries to take part in Day of Chisinau City

Delegations from ten countries will take part in the activities dedicated to the Day of Chisinau City this year. The foreign invitees will visit the city and the sights in the country, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, several of the delegations already arrived in Chisinau and went on a tour of the city, from the City Hall to the Railway Terminal up to the city’s Museum situated near the State University of Moldova. The tour was made by one of the first trolleybuses that ran on the streets of Chisinau starting with 1949. Afterward, the invitees went on a visit to the Cricova wine cellars.

The delegations invited to Chisinau are from Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, Georgia, Austria, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Italy. This year, the Romanian Guard of Apulum (Alba Iulia) will also be present in the Great National Assembly Square. They will give a performance to reconstruct the historic Romanian area with military vehicles.

The Day of Chisinau City is celebrated on October 14. This year it is 578 years of the documentary attestation of Chisinau, on July 17, 1436.
