The deformed and damaged spruces near the Triumphal Arch in central Chisinau were substituted with firs of the blue spruce species, IPN reports.
The trees were planted one day before the official start of the winter holiday season, which will take place on December 23, together with the turning on of lights of the Christmas tree set up in the Great National Assembly Square.
