Military observers of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces travelled to Chițcani village in the Transnistrian region where a rocket was allegedly identified. According to the Ministry of Defense, the origin of the identified object is not clear and the trajectory of this hasn’t been confirmed by independent sources, IPN reports.
“The authorities will continue to keep the public informed when more authentic information about this incident is obtained,” said the Ministry.
A S 300 rocket was identified in the region, said Oleg Belyakov, the representative of Tiraspol in the Joint Control Commission. Elements of the rocket made in 1968 fell down in an orchard in Chițcani. No victims or damage was reported.
