The country’s main Christmas Tree, which is located in the center of Chisinau, started to be decorated. Employees of the municipal lighting company “Lumteh” began to place the festoons around the fir tree, which will be inaugurated on December 1, IPN reports.

According to the director of “Lumteh” Nicolae Vereshko, the tree lighting works are in full swing. “Most of the lights were placed. We carried out a mini-inspection to see what is yet to be done. We will complete our works tomorrow.  Afterward, those from the Green Areas Association of Chisinau will put the baubles and other ornaments,” he stated.

The director of “Lumteh” also said that they are using the lights purchased last year as these are in a good state and new lighting wasn’t needed.

The main Christmas Tree of the country, which is traditionally set up in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau, this year is situated near the Triumphal Arch. The local authorities decided to decorate one of the fir trees that grow near the Arch.
