Two days after suspending the national energy regulator's decision to raise the natural gas and heat charges, the Chisinau Court of Appeals modified today its decision, leaving the new charges in force. The leader of the United Moldova Party Vladimir Turcan, who demanded that the given decisions be annulled, said he will appeal the court's decision. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the head of the ANRE's press office Anatol Barbei said the United Moldova Party's challenge was rejected. The Chisinau Court of Appeals will present its arguments in several days, in accordance with the procedure. “We aim to solve the problem of tariffs and will lodge a new challenge,” said the leader of the United Moldova Party. Until a new possible decision, the household consumers will pay 4.1 lei per cubic meter of gas if they use up to 30 cubic meters of gas a month, and 4.56 lei if they consume more than 30 cubic meters a month. The heat charge will be 821 lei per gigacalorie.
