Decision to show ballots was well-thought-out, Andrei Iovu

The Constitutional Court interpreted the Constitution, where there is written that the vote is secret. The idea that the vote should not be secret is rather a well-though-out step, political analyst Andrei Iovu has told Info-Prim Neo. According to the analyst, those who proposed showing the ballots saw that the negotiations on the identification of a candidate for the presidency did not develop as planned and took the ace out of the sleeve – the Constitutional Court deemed the December 16 elections unconstitutional. Andrei Iovu said the Constitutional Court’s decision was expected and the behavior of the politicians showed this. He also said that the PCRM will probably keep the same candidate for the new elections because Leonid Talmaci is an interesting candidate and it was a strategic move. The Constitutional Court declared the December 16 presidential elections unconstitutional because the secrecy of the vote was infringed.
