Deadline for submitting applications to be registered as election runners expired

The Green Ecologist Party will be under No. 14 on the ballot in the parliamentary elections of February 24, according to the preliminary order. The Liberal Party will be under No. 15. The decision was taken as a result of a draw on January 24, IPN reports.

Applications to be registered as election runners in the national constituency and in single member constituencies could be filed by January 24.

So far the Central Elation Commission registered nine electoral competitors and is examining six more files. The last two files are to be examined within seven days as from today. Thus, the final list of competitors will be known by January 31, said the CEC president Alina Russu.

According to the preliminary order decided so far, the Democratic Party tops the list of contenders on the ballot. It is followed by the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS, the Party of Communists, the Party of Socialists, the Shor Party, the People’s Movement “Antimafie”, the Political Party “Our Party”, the National Liberal Party, the “People’s Will” Party, the Party of Regions, the Party “Democracy at Home”, the Professionals’ Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda” and the Political Party “Patria”.
