The body of a man was detected in a park in Chisinau, at the intersection of Alecu Russo and Mihail Sadoveanu streets. The police were notified of the case on Friday morning, at around 09:30 a.m.

The head of the press service of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that a police team and a medical examiner immediately travelled to the scene. The man was in his 50s and looked like a vagrant. Measures are being taken to establish the identity of the person.

The coroner, who examined the body, found no signs of violent death. An investigation is underway.
