Days of Moldovan Culture to be marked in Moscow Sept 24-30
On September 24-30, the Government of the Republic of Moldova will organise the Days of Moldovan Culture in Moscow. According to the organisers, this event “will bring Moldova closer to Russia and will thus re-establish the economic relations between the two countries”.
As part of the Days of Moldovan Culture an 87-member delegation including artists will be touring across Russia. Among the artists are Mihai Munteanu, Maria Biesu, tenor Iurie Gasca, soprano Marina Radis, Natalia Gordienco, Anastasia Cusnir, Joc Band, and others.
Culture & Tourism Minister Artur Cozma said Russia has recently agreed to make Moscow’s most prestigious stage – the Music Palace – available for the opening ceremony of the event.
A special event on the agenda is the ceremony at Vagankovskoe Cemetery to unveil the bust of the Moldovan film director Emil Loteanu.
PM Vasile Tarlev described the Days of Moldovan Culture in Russia as a highly important cultural event. “Everything has to be organised down to the last detail, as this is a matter of reputation for our country”, the premier said.
