Weightlifter Daniel Lungu became Under-20 European vice champion in the 56 kg weight class, IPN reports.

In snatch, he ranked second with the result of 110 kg, while in clean and jerk he finished fourth with 130 kg. Daniel Lungu won silver for the total result.

In the 62 kg class, Mihail Musteață ranked tenth with the result of 231 kg.

Eleven weightlifters represented Moldova at the competition in Poland. On October 19, the period for which the Moldovan Weightlifting Federation was suspended for doping ended.
