Daniel Ioniță: Romania wants future Government of Moldova to keep clear pro-European orientation

Romania wants the future Government of Moldova to keep a clear pro-European orientation. Romania would like the politicians in Moldova to be responsible and the future Government to remain fully committed to implementing the obligations deriving from the Association Agreement on time, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Daniel Ioniță was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel.

“The future Government should understand that the orientation to the West is the one that will produce palpable results and immediate results for the benefit of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and that governance is actually an act of political responsibility,” stated Daniel Ioniță.

He noted the Republic of Moldova needs a Government that would benefit from the support of a parliamentary majority constituted legally so that it has the necessary political support domestically and also has a good image outside the country. “The signals that come from outside should also be taken into account as no one can venture to operate in a vacuum, in a crystal globe, fully isolated from the existing realities,” stated the diplomat.

Daniel Ioniță said the official Bucharest made it clear that it wants the politicians in Moldova to advocate the keeping and further consolidation of the path to European integration.
