Greco-Roman wrestler Daniel Cataraga finished fifth in the 72 kg weight class at the European Wrestling Championships held in Russia, IPN reports.
In the fight for the bronze medal, Cataraga lost to Georgia’s Iuri Lomadze 6-15 after the score at the break was 6-6. In the quarterfinals, Cataraga was beaten by the future finalist, Rasul Chunayev of Azerbaijan, 2-3.
One day earlier, Donior Islamov won bronze in the 63 kg class.
