The level of water in the Nistru River rose to 12 meters in parts. Constantin Becciev, director of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, Monday said that there is a danger of floods.

“It is the highest level in the last 12 months and it can go up when the snow begins to melt in the neighboring Ukraine. We must get ready for emergencies. It’s hard to anticipate when the level will be the highest,” said Constantin Becciev.

The authorities are gradually freeing the water reservoirs in Dubasaria and Dnestrovsc.
