Dan Perciun announces priorities of parliamentary commission on social protection

The increasing of the minimum pension to 2,000 lei, hastening of the pension recalculation process and revision of the retirement conditions applying to persons who looked after individuals with severe disabilities are among the priorities of the parliamentary commission on social protection, health and family for this autumn, the commission’s chairman Dan Perciun, of the Party of Action and Solidarity, posted in the social media, being quoted by IPN.

The commission will also examine aspects concerning stimulation of social entrepreneurship by tax concessions and positive discrimination of social enterprises in the public procurement process, raising of the minimum disability pension and allocations for disability and stimulation of employment of persons with disability by reviewing and increasing the existing subsidies and supplementing them with a subsidy for transport.

Among the commission’s priorities are also the raising and indexation of the allowance intended for war veterans and veterans of the actions to defend the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova. There will also be addressed the protection of persons deprived of homes and other essential goods due to small debts by reviewing the Execution Code.

According to Dan Perciun, the commission will also examine the increasing of the minimum salary in the public sector up to the minimum subsistence level for persons able to work and of the personal exemption up to 32,400 lei so as to cover the value of the minimum official salary.

In August, the commission will discuss with representatives of different civil society organizations so as to supplement the given priorities.
