The Republic of Moldova is facing the most serious situation in its history after the declaration of its independence, Dan Dungaciu, director of the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Romanian Academy, said in the program “European horizon” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

“The Republic of Moldova didn’t have such a gloomy perspective earlier. Now the main theme is Moldova’s sovereignty as a state. The country can be compared with a vehicle that is heading at high speed towards a wall. Now the Republic of Moldova is put in the situation to choose between evil and a lesser evil. There is now no other variant,” stated Dungaciu.

Speaking about the December 2 special sitting of Parliament, Dungaciu said that most probably it was a moment of clarification. “The fact that they discussed about the theft of the century is related to the future parliamentary coalition. But I don’t think that there are perspectives,” he stated.
