The water supplier of Chisinau said the damaged pipe that burst on Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd was repaired during the night and the area is accessible to traffic, IPN reports

The steel pipe with the diameter of 300mm yielded on February 22 owing to the high wear degree and the people living in the perimeter of the streets Mitropolit G. Banulescu-Bodoni and Tricolorului remained thus without water during the night. The area was closed to traffic on a temporary basis.

SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” said a number of expert teams worked at night to remedy the problem. When the leakage was localized, the damaged pipe section was replaced. Early in the morning, the consumers in the area were reconnected to the public water supply service.

On February 23, the company’s specialists were to deal with 54 water pipe accidents on a number of streets in Chisinau. There were planned several disconnections from the water supply. Information about these is arable at www.acc.md.
