The works to demolish the apartment building in Otaci town that collapsed partially in the summer of 2019 are underway. They are performed by a company that uses two industrial manipulators and an excavator and are supervised and managed by the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, IPN reports.

On June 19, 2019, a part of the nine-story apartment building in Otaci collapsed. The first stair of the block was demolished then. It was later decided to also demolish the second stair of the block.

One year after the collapse of the building in Otaci, the investigation into this case that was started last summer goes on. Recently, the Government decided to allocate over 2.2 million lei from the Intervention Fund for demolishing the damaged block in Otaci.
