The captain of the ‘yellow wolves’ was put on the transfer list after Dacia suffered a 1-3 defeat to Sheriff and slipped to the sixth spot on the rankings, IPN reports.
“Matiughin is not of the team’s level. Being captain, he was responsible for organizing the team,” Dacia patron Adlan Sishanov, who decided to discharge Matiughin whose contract expires in July 2014, said after the match.
Adlan Sishanov also said he was satisfied with the performance of only three players, one of whom was the author of the goal of honor - Alexandru Bejan, 17. In this match, Vadim Paireli, of the national Under 19 team, scored his first goal for Sheriff in the National Division.
Sheriff remains an authoritarian leader in Moldova’s championship, being 9 points ahead of FC Tiraspol. Veris ranks third with 11 points fewer than Sheriff.
