Dacia make disappointing debut in Champions League

Dacia Chisinau on Wednesday were defeated 3:0 by Georgia's champions Zestafoni FC in the first installment of the second qualifying round of the Champions League, Info-Prim Neo reports. All the goals were scored in the first half. The opener came when Niko Gelashvili surprised Dacia's goalkeeper Artiom Gaiduchevici with a shot to the far post. Then, a former Dacia player, Jaba Dvali, distinguished himself by scoring twice on the 23 and 40 minutes. In the second half, both sides missed several occasions to score. As a result, Dacia have little odds of making it to the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The second installment will take place on July 20 in Chisinau. This was the third Moldo-Georgian duel in UEFA club competitions this season. Earlier, Milsami Orhei were ousted from Europa League by Dynamo Tbilisi, having lost both legs, 2-0 and 3-1. On Thursday, two other Moldovan clubs will join the European competitions: Sheriff Tiraspol and Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa.
