Deputy champion Dacia is distancing itself from the rostrum after failing to score a victory in the fourth consecutive match. The ‘yellow wolves’ drew 1-1 with Rapid in a match played on a stadium in Buiucani district without spectators, IPN reports.
Former Dacia player Ivan Arabadji scored first for Rapid, but Milos Krkotic tied soon, scoring through an 11-meter kick. Striker Gheorghe Ovseannicov was very close to scoring the victory goal for Dacia.
“I do not have what to reproach the players for. They played well, but didn’t have luck,” Dacia patron Adlan Shishhanov said after the match. Rapid manager Tudor Starciuc said he was satisfied with the draw. “It’s the merit of my pupils. They achieved a good result despite the difficulties faced by the club,” he stated.
In other matches of the 15th group on Friday, Veris scored the first victory under the command of Igor Dobrovolski, 3-0 against Academia owing to the hat-trick of Viorel Frunza, while FC Costuleni won against Dinamo-Auto 1-0. The only goal was scored by Vladislav Ivanov.
On Saturday, November 9, Milsami meets Zimbru, while FC Tiraspol - Speranta. The stage closes on Sunday, when leader Sheriff faces Olimpia.
