Most accidents in Chisinau nine months into this year occurred on Dacia Boulevard in Botanica district: 4 people were killed and 77 others were injured in 60 accidents. Municipal police chief Silviu Musuc said the leading causes of accidents include speeding, drunk driving and unskilled driving. According to the same statistics, Alba-Iulia Street in Buiucani saw 34 accidents since the beginning of the year and Stefan cel Mare in Centru 31 accidents, with one casualty. 26 accidents occurred on Ismail Street. Overall in Chisinau municipality since the beginning of the year there have been 985 accidents with 33 casualties and over 1,300 people injured.
