Dacia become National Division champion
Dacia Chisinau is the new football champion of Moldova. They ensured the title of champion two stages before the end of the competition. In the 37th stage on May 13, Dacia beat FC Costuleni 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by Ghenadie Orbu. Dacia interrupted thus the 10-year-hegemony of Sheriff Tiraspol in the National Division, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Sheriff will take the second place this season. In the current stage, the ex-champion demolished Dinamo Bender 7-0. Four goals were scored by Burkina Faso halfback Benjamin Balima.
The fight for the third position goes on. All the four candidates won victories. Milsami Orhei defeated FC Tiraspol 1-0, Olimpia Balti beat Academia Chisinau 2-0, Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa won against Rapid Ghidighici 2-1, while Zimbru Chisinau beat Sfantul Gheorghe Suruceni 3-0.
Last-ranked Gagauzia Comrat still hope to avoid relegation after defeating Nistru Otaci 2-1.
