The Czech Development Agency signed two memorandums in the areas of ecological agriculture and regional development with the Moldovan authorities, within the official visit paid by the Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka on June 10. The documents envision the initiation of projects and facilitation of implementation of European norms for developing the two areas, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the memorandum on the development of ecological agriculture was signed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Iurie Usurelu and the director of the Czech Development Agency Michal Kaplan. This is designed to facilitate the implementation of the European norms in ecological agriculture by strengthening cooperation. The sides expressed readiness to support the promotion of the values and principles of efficient cooperation.
The second memorandum of understanding was signed by the Czech Development Agency and the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction. In a press release, the Ministry says the sides will promote joint projects in order to support the Ministry in its efforts to do the necessary structural reforms and to distribute and transfer know-how in the field.
In this connection, two technical assistance projects will be initiated in the second half of 2016 to facilitate the implementation of the European building norms and of the European principles in territorial and urban development.
Minister of Regional Development Vasile Batca said that the conception of the national territorial development plan will be elaborated within the project, including the general urbanistic plan. For his part, Michal Kaplan noted that the Czech experts will cooperate efficiently and will provide information about the European norms concerning territorial and urban development.
