Czech Prime Minister arrives in Chisinau today

The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka will be paying an official visit to Moldova during June 9-10. The program of the visit includes meetings with Prime Minister Pavel Filip, President Nicolae Timofti and Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu. The official will also take part in the Moldovan-Czech Business Forum. Several documents on bilateral cooperation will be signed during the visit, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the official ceremony for Pavel Filip to meet Bohuslav Sobotka will be staged at the State Residence on Nicolae Iorga St on June 10 at 9am. Afterward, the two Premiers, accompanied by members of the delegations of the two Governments, will have a meeting.

The meeting will be followed by the signing of bilateral cooperation documents. Statements for the press will be made afterward. Also, the two officials will take part in the Moldovan-Czech Business Forum at Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel.

Bohuslav Sobotka will also meet with President Nicolae Timofti and Speaker Andrian Candu.

The official Czech delegation will pay a visit to the Training Center of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of the Ministry of the Interior, which was modernized with the support of the Czech partners within the project “Improving operational abilities and proficiency of Moldovan firemen”.

The National Patrolling Inspectorate said that parts of the main arteries of Chisinau will be closed to traffic periodically, during the Czech Premier’s visit. It calls on the drivers to comply with the instructions of the patrolling police, to be maximally disciplined and to avoid traveling on the main streets of the capital city, if possible.
