Czech President in Chisinau. Limited access to some of public spaces

The President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel is making his first official visit to Moldova on Thursday. During the day, access to a number of public spaces in Chisinau will be temporarily limited, IPN reports.

"This visit reflects the increasingly close relationship between the states and the common commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation and the European path of the Republic of Moldova," said the Office of the President of the Republic of Moldova.

The welcome ceremony at the Presidential Palace will start at 09:00 a.m. At 10:20 a.m., President Maia Sandu and her Czech counterpart Petr Pavel will hold a press conference.

In connection with the visit, the Chisinau City Hall announced that access to some of the public spaces downtown and to arteries that ensure connection with the Chisinau International Airport will be limited between 08:00 a.m. and 04:00 p.m. Within the perimeter of the streets where the official column will move, it will not be possible to hold meetings, rallies and marches, execute repair works on roads and networks, or cut down trees, except for the sociocultural events specified in the preliminary declarations submitted to the City Hall.

Drivers are urged to comply with the requests of the traffic police and to show patience and discipline in traffic, without deviations from the Road Traffic Regulations.
