Czech Embassy opens Book of Condolence

The Czech Embassy in Chisinau has opened a Book of Condolence in connection with the death of the first President of the Czech Republic. Václav Havel passed away on December 18 at the age of 75, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Book of Condolence will be available inside the Embassy, which is situated at 23 Moara Rosie St, during December 20-22, between 10.00 and 12.00 and 14.00 and 16.00. Personal condolences can be sent to 10 Voršilská, Kancelář Václava Havla, 110 00 Praha 1, the Czech Republic. Václav Havel was born in Prague on October 5, 1936. He was a writer, dramatist and a defender of human rights. He became President of former Czechoslovakia in 1989, while in 1993 he was named the first President of the Czech Republic and governed the country during 10 years.
