Czech donation for palliative care center in Straseni district

A manufacturer of medical equipment from the Czech Republic donated multifunctional beds, worth over 37,000 euros, to the Palliative Care Center in the village of Zubrești, Straseni district.

According to a press release issued by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Moldova, the company also covered the transportation of the beds to Moldova, which arrived in Zubrești on May 6. The unloading of the truck was followed by their installation and training of the staff on how to use them.

Czech beds can be seen in many hospitals in Moldova, while special ICU beds have been delivered to hospitals in the city of Causeni and Calarasi as part of the COVID-19 Aid provided by the Czech Republic.

“Our company is a leading manufacturer of medical equipment in the Czech Republic. For several years now, we have been providing multifunctional beds to medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova, both as part of the Czech Republic’s development cooperation effort and through tenders for other international donors”, reads the Embassy’s press release.

The history of relations between the Czech company and the Moldovan Palliative Care Center in Zubrești began in 2015, when the company delivered the first six beds financed from the Czech development cooperation funds.
