A number of official email accounts of the Border Police and the information network of the Centre of Excellence in Border Security (CESF) of the General Border Police Inspectorate were subjected to a cyberattack. As a result, some data and information related to specific service activities were downloaded, the Border Police announced, quoted by IPN.
The cyberattack was qualified by information technology specialists as a minor cybersecurity incident. It was stopped and, according to the Border Police, the compromised email accounts were recovered and the information system of the Center of Excellence was restored.
The Center of Excellence and IT specialists started updates that correct errors and improve the security of programs and operating systems, security updates, as well as the revision of access policies.
