The Customs Service will operate as usual during the mini-vacation enjoyed by public sector employees from August 27 to 31. All customs chekpoints will operate without interruption. At the same time, measures will be taken to streamline traffic in the busiest border crossings, in order to quickly manage the flow of passengers, the Customs Service announced in a press release.

Some subdivisions of the Customs Service administration will also operate to provide assistance in examining requests received from both economic operators and individuals. At the same time, its IT team will make sure all systems are functioning, ready to intervene promptly in case of malfunctions.

Additional, specialized subdivisions, in particular customs patrols will be increasingly on the watch to secure the second line of customs control, ready to counter customs fraud.
