Customs Service says who must fill in traveler customs declaration

The Customs Service specified who must fill in the traveler customs declaration – the form by which the goods in personal luggage are declared, in accordance with the new Customs Code.

Thus, the traveler customs declaration is to be submitted for commercial goods, provided that their value does not exceed the equivalent in Moldovan lei of €1,000 or 1,000 kg in net mass.

The document shall also be presented for goods whose transportation across the customs frontier is authorized by other inspection authorities, or at the request of the traveler or of the customs officer.

The form is submitted in case of voluntary declaration of currencies of up to €10,000, IPN reports.
