Customs Service offices to be administered by one company

The offices of the Customs Service situated all over Moldova will be managed by one company. The Government decided to create the sate-run company Vamservinform, which is to manage the given offices, by reorganizing through merger two state-run companies - Moldvama-Grup and Vamtehiform, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of Finance, which is administering the Customs Service, the merger will enable to save money by redistributing the administrative posts and reducing their number and the office leasing costs. The newly created company will take over activities that are not typical of the Customs Service and will be in charge of maintaining the Service’s buildings located throughout Moldova. Vamservinform will also attract external and internal financing programs to develop, modernize and Europeanize the technical and economic infrastructure of the Customs Service. It will contribute to the improvement of the services provided for the economic entities involved in export-export operations and the individuals who cross the border.
