The revenues collected by the Customs Service into the state budget during February 10-16 amounted to 666.71 million lei. Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service fulfilled the projections in a proportion of 109.3 percent, collecting 4.298.7 billion lei, IPN reports.
"The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects and other actions," said the State Customs Service.
Also, 11,000 customs declarations were submitted and over 60,000 crossings by units of transport were recorded last week. The most popular customs points were Leușeni and Sculeni.
Individuals brought into the country goods on which 23.7 million lei taxes were levied. This is 3.5% of the total amount collected.
