A Moldovan national was arrested at the Leuseni checkpoint trying to smuggle 350,000 lei worth of appliances without papers from Romania into Moldova, the Customs Service reported.

The man was driving a car with Moldovan plates that was laden with appliances including video cameras, switches and batteries.

The offender was fined 3,000 lei and the seized goods will be transmitted to the Fiscal Inspectorate.
