Customs officers discover surprises in chocolate boxes

Customs officers in Sculeni discovered 1800 pills and 26 vials with steroids in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter passanger minibus on the Chisinau-Iasi route. According to a Customs Service press release, the drugs were hidden in two chocolate boxes sent to Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports. The boxes were found at the driver, a Moldovan citizen. He claims he didn’t know what was in the boxes. Allegedly, he received them from an unknown person at the bus station in Chisinau in order to carry them to Iasi, where someone else would receive them. The case is being investigated by the Customs Service officers.
