Customs duties for some products might be changed in Transnistrian region

The customs duties for in 2013 for some import and export products in the Transnistrian region could be changed, Info-Prim Neo learned from www.nr2.ru/pmr. Representatives of companies in Bender met with customs service officials of the region to talk about the customs policies for next year. Some companies proposed to raise the customs duty for a series of goods produced in the Transnistrian region. The other companies think that increasing import duties would affect “foreign” trade. The so-called state committee on customs of the Transnistrian region said the new customs duties will be calculated on the basis of the ones set for 2012. According to the committee, reducing the duties boosted the turnover and increased the number of participants in the region’s “foreign” economic activity.
