Customs checkpoints along Transnistrian segment to get video surveillance systems

The Customs Service intends to install video surveillance systems at all thirteen internal customs checkpoints along the Transnistrian segment. The project is part of the Development Strategy of the Customs Service, its spokesperson Alina Sargu told Info-Prim Neo. Today such systems are being trialled at three internal customs checkpoints. “They've proved efficient and the Customs Service wants to extend the project”, said Alina Sargu. The systems will be installed by a specialized company and the money will be allocated from the Customs Service's budget. It is planned to start the project until the end of the year, but it greatly depends on how the contractor manages to meet the deadline.
