Curfew imposed on April 1 to be lifted

As from April 26, the 11pm-5am curfew imposed in the municipalities of Bălți and Chisinau on April 1 will no longer have an effect. Such a decision was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations and was announced by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, IPN reports.

In a press briefing, the official said the education process at vocational schools and universities is resumed on April 26 so as to conduct internships, practical lessons and assessment sessions that cannot be performed remotely.

The Commission also decided that the religious ceremonies between April 25 and May 11 will be held outside churches, which is in the open air, by maintaining physical distancing and obeying the measures to prevent and control the infection. “This is a necessary measure as the number of parishioners who will go to church on Palm Sunday, on Easter night and other feast days is expected to be high,” explained Aureliu Ciocoi.
