Cultural society “Vatra” offers festive concert to orphans
Children from boarding schools and from socially vulnerable families from Chisinau on the first vacation day viewed a festive concert organized by the cultural society “Vatra” with the support of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The concert was held by Natalia and Ana Barbu, Gheorghe Topa, Catalin Josan, Adrian Ursu, Gheorghe Urschi, Anisoara Puica, Doinita Gherman, dance group “Martisor” and other stars. The children enjoyed nice music, jokes, recreational activities and many surprises.
The director of “Vatra”, composer and singer Vlad Negruzzi said that though it is harder for him to organize such holidays for children for financial reasons, he does not give up the idea. It is a chance to fulfill the dreams of the children, many of whom are orphans, to meet artists and receive presents.
“Such concerts have been given for 20 years. 2009 is a jubilee year for “Vatra”. The children know us and impatiently expect the concerts held in the National Palace, usually on Christmas Eve or during the summer vacation. Every time, we try to organize not only meetings with national stars, but also to present them with clothes, candies, ice-cream, toys, wheelchairs for invalids, domestic appliances and many other gifts offered by our sponsors,” Vlad Negruzzi said.
Though the children receive now fewer presents, the artists do not refuse to meet the small spectators and are very receptive to their wishes, inviting them to sing on the stage together with them. The performance of the young singers Luminita Moldovanu, Mihaela Chisnencu, Lia Gherman and Anastasia Jartiuc convince them that the dream to become a star at such an early age can come true if you want it very much, Negruzzi also said.
The head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said that the Chisinau authorities are always near the orphans and support them by offering them aid and by engaging them in spiritual events. The Division and the cultural society “Vatra” have cooperated for more than 5 years. Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb also said that cultural-recreational activities will be held on the International Children’s Day in all the districts of Chisinau. Besides good mood, the children will receive presents and candies.
