After a pause of nearly two months, the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) comes together for a meeting on September 9. The agenda includes the examination of the resignation of judge Ion Morozan of the Chisinau Court, IPN reports.
Ion Morozan formed part of one of the two panels of judges constituted at the Buiucani branch of the Chisinau Court to examine cases concerning the bank fraud. He is the judge who tried the case of former Democratic MP Constantin Țuțu. Ion Morozan was named judge in 2005.
The last meeting of the SCM was held in the middle of July. Since then the Council hasn’t convened.
The September 9 meeting of the SCM starts at 9am. The agenda consists of 15 items.
