Cross-border partnerships will become more accessible through new site - www.dezvoltaredurabila.eu

A new website designed to inform the nongovernmental organizations and the local public administration about sustainable development – www.dezvoltaredurabila.eu – will be launched in Chisinau by the Center for Mediation and Community Security of Romania and the organization Child, Community and Family of Moldova on June 9, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the authors, the website is meant to contribute to better relations between the nongovernmental organizations and the local public institutions that aim at durably developing the Romania - Moldova border region. Among the project beneficiaries are more than 40 active NGOs from Romania (the counties of Botosani, Galati, Vaslui, and Iasi) and from Moldova and at least eight local public administrations from the two countries. The most important sections of the website are the database about the activity of all the beneficiaries of the Cross-border Resource Center for a Sustainable Development, the section of instruments and methodologies on sustainable development and other sections with resources and useful links. The site is expected to have over 50 permanent users until this yearend. There will be posted more than 40 articles and publications and information about the Cross-border Resource Center for a Sustainable Development (training announcements, interesting materials, cooperation in future projects on cross-border sustainable development). The site was launched as part of the Cross-border Resource Center for a Sustainable Development project with the financial support of the European Union through the Romania-Moldova Neighborhood Program for 2004-2006. The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing of Romania commissioned the creation of the site.
