The head of the phitotechnics, horticulture and nursery Mihai Suvac told Info-Prim Neo that the volume of harvested production is at the multiannual level, despite the cold spring, late maturing of fruits and vegetables. The quoted source says that the majority of fruits and vegetables are sold on the interior market and only a small part has been exported to Romania, Russia and Byelorussia. Because one of the main importers of fruits and vegetables, the Russian Federation gave up to the Moldovan production, farmers sell the production on the local market. The plants producing canned fruits and vegetables already processed 12 tones of production, volume increased by 3 thousand tones compared with the similar period of the last year, Mihai Suvac says. This year it is expected a crop of 387 thousand tones of fruits and 460 thousand tones of vegetables.
