Cronograf festival named its winners

The Grand Prix and the Trophy of the International Documentary Movie Festival, organized by OWH TV Studio was attributed to the movie „Zdroi” (The Source) directed by Martin Malek, Czech Republic. This movie received also the „Public’s sympathy” award, offered by the Medical Center of Civil Aviation. The Director General of OWH TV Studio, Virgiliu Margineanu and the director Sergiu Prodan decalred at the Awards Festivity, that although the initial decision of the jury was not to draw attention only to the themes with social impact, but the way the movies were shot, “the Source” won the hearts of the jury and of the public both by the tackled theme and by exceptional realization. The award for direction, offered by the Cineastes’ Union went to the movie “Zavedenka” directed by Galinei Adamovici, Belarus. The award “Cine-verite” offered by TV5 was given for the movie “The Stroke” directed by Catarinei Petres, Germany. The special award, offered by the organization “Salvati Copii” (Save the Children) was offered to Mira Erdevicki for the movie “Sevdan – the bridge which survived”, a co-production of Bosnia Herzegovina and Great Britain. UNICEF Moldova offered the award “Perspectiva” to the movie “Punam” directed by Lucian Munteanu, Serbia-Montenegro. Within the festivity were also awarded the winners of other section – local TV productions, video spots, publicity spots. The best video spots were considered “Tu erai cerul”(You were the sky), EDICT band, directed by Cristi Barbulescu and Antol Neagu, “Vnutri”(Inside),ExNN band, directed by Evghenii Grigoriev, Artem Anisimov, the first prize and the Grand Prix was given to the video spot “Orasul 511”(The city 511), Alternosfera band, directed by Igor Cobaleanschi. At the commercial spots section the first prize was given to the spot „Festivalul Staryi Melnik”, Simpals, directed by Simpals team, the second prize – the spot „Lucky Strike Original Smoke”, Ciuleandra Studio, directed by Serge Zanoga, the third place was taken by the spot „Nu ati vazut-o pe mama mea?”, directed by Igor Cobaleanschi, BRIO Studio. At the 5th edition of the International Documentary Movie Festival „Cronograf” about 100 from 5 continents movies were presented and 21 countries participated at the contest.
