Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic will make a visit to Chisinau in 2013. The Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca invited her during his first visit to Zagreb, Info-Prim Neo reports. Iurie Leanca told the press on Tuesday, November 13, that the Croatian Minister would come to Chisinau in the spring or summer of 2013. He noted that Croatia’s European integration experience could prove very helpful for Moldova. The authorities in Chisinau have already identified some of the arreas in which they would like to borrow Croatia’s experience. The Balkan country is due to become the European Union’s 28th member in July 2013. The two ministers signed the Intergovernmental Agreement between Moldova and Croatia regarding the European Partnership, which stipulates the creation of a joint commission for identifying cooperation fields and for developing concrete programs. Iurie Leanca added that the Croatian official said she fully supported the idea that Moldova should be offered clear EU membership prospects and expressed her willingness to share experience and expertise. Between November 6 and 8, Iurie Leanca visited Croatia, Italy and Slovakia.
