The curtain has risen on the 27th edition of the "Crizantema de Argint" Festival-Competition at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre in Chisinau. The audience was taken on an emotional musical journey, where the voices of the performers revived the unmistakable charm of the romance genre.
The first evening, "The Dawn of Romance," was dedicated to artists who carry on this musical tradition. Among those who took the stage were Mihail Bicu, performing the romance "A venit aseara mama", Elena Godorogea with "Lampa" and "Ce stiti voi strunelor?", Valentino Dinca singing "Smaranda" and "Romanta instrainarii", and Ana Cusnir-Paladi, who delighted the audience with "Mai am un singur dor" and "Batranul tei."
The festival continues on Saturday, March 22, with "The Peak of Romance," an evening dedicated to creation. Contemporary poets and composers will present their new romances, offering the audience the chance to discover special artistic moments.
On Sunday, March 23, the festival's final evening, "Romance Under the Moonlight," will celebrate the elegance and nostalgia of this musical genre. The evening will conclude with the awards gala honoring the festival’s laureates.
The "Crizantema de Argint" Festival-Competition is organized with the support of the Chisinau City Hall, and admission is free.
