A woman judge from Criuleni was suspended from post after she was caught taking €2,000 bribe. The decision was taken by the Supreme Council of Magistrates at the request of the prosecutor general, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office.

If the judge is found guilty, she will serve 7 to 15 years in jail and will be fined 20,000 to 60,000 lei. She will be also banned from holding particular posts or performing particular activities for a period of 3 to 5 years.

The judge from Criuleni acted in collusion with a woman lawyer. Together they asked for and took €2,000 in order to acquit two culprits.
